CAMP VESELKA
CHAPEL
Celebrate a wedding or religious retreat in an open-air cedar roof Chapel nestled in a mature pine forest.
Nestled in the woods, you will find an open-air cedar roof chapel. Consider saying your wedding vows in the tranquillity of nature, celebrating a religious retreat or honouring a feast day or family celebration with a private service.
Veselka’s Chapel of St. Volodymyr and Olga is a traditional Ukrainian wooden church structure constructed in 1972 by volunteers, under the religious guidance of Father Yaroslav Benesh, Veselka Chaplain.
Later that year, the Chapel was consecrated by Cardinal Josyf Slipyj, Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and Bishop Isadore Boretsky, with numerous priests, community leaders and hundreds of youth in attendance.
In 1998, a large wooden cross was erected to commemorate 1,000 years of Christianity in Ukraine.
